Water is essential for life

Water is essential for life. Humans have no capacity to store spare water, so we must quickly replace any that is lost.Water is the highway that moves nutrients and wastes between cells and organs. It carries food through digestive system, transports nutrients to cells and tissues, and carries waste out of our body in urine. Watery fluids act as shock absorbers, lubricators, and cleansing agents. For example, amniotic fluid cushions and protects the foetus, synovial fluid allows joints to move smoothly; tears lubricate and cleanse the eyes, and saliva moistens food and makes swallowing possible.

Water Excreation

We continuously lose water through various routes-exhaled air, perspiration, faeces, and urine. Water loss increases in an airplane. Fever, coughing, rapid breathing, and watery nasal secretions all increase water loss significantly.

Water Facts

Discount Fetish

We have all experienced the rush of adrenalin associated with the realization that we are about to buy something that has been discounted. Our culture cherishes the notion of a discount via a sale or clearance. The quality of the merchandise or service is seemingly no match for the price. Coupons flow from every crevice of our mailboxes and newspapers. Our names and addresses are sold and resold to advertisers with a panderers delight. Consequently we find ourselves fishing through a stack of .10 cent tuna fish coupons to get to the real mail. Or are the coupons the real mail? We are, ostensibly, in the holds of a discount fetish.

An analysis of our current state of discount addiction is in order. In recent years more and more discount exclusive businesses have surfaced. How many of you have been to a .99 cent store? They represent what could be referred to as the extreme of our discount culture. Costume necklaces, stale bread and off brands litter the aisles where disciples of discount peruse. How many of us have been caught in the .99 cent trap? Radio and television remind us that we must take advantage of all things .99

Consolidators=Cheap Flights!

Our Pauper loves to save money using an airfare consolidator. These consolidators contract with airlines to get tickets at cheaper rates than the general public. Because they buy large blocks of tickets the airlines love them.

Though you can get really good deals by knowing how to use consolidators, remember they are not structured for great service. Theyre playing the quantity game not the hold-your-hand game. If you need personal attention use your travel agent instead.

The best time to use consolidators is during high travel times of the year. Other than these peak travel times consolidators dont really offer much better rates than those offered in the lowest advertised fares. Yet, you can enjoy 20-30% off when you decide to travel during Christmas, for instance.

The other good time to turn to consolidators is if you are traveling on short notice. Unlike the airlines, they dont penalize you for traveling on the spur of the moment.

Always use a credit card with consolidators. Some consolidators can charge high fees if you change your plans and/or cancel your flight. So make sure you understand what the policy on cancellations and refunds is.

In this article Ill give you a

Vehicle Safety Habits For The Beginner Driver

It is good practice to check youre vehicle out before proceeding out on the road, and know all the safety features of the vehicle that you are operating. It is part of defensive driving to do these checks before you take youre vehicle on the road.

Vehicle inspection should be first on the list, before proceeding out on the road.

Take out the tire wrench. You are going to need it to check the tires. Hit the tire to make sure there is sufficient air. You may want to carry a tire gauge in youre car. Do a visable inspection of tires, looking for possible cracks or worn tires.

Are there any visible leaks under the car? Do the signals work? Do the headlights work? (High and low beam.) Do the brake lights work?

Check to make sure theres enough engine oil; break fluid, and power steering fluid. Also check battery water level and coolant level. Do not open radiator cap! Vehicle must be cooled down first, if parked recently. (caution: see owners manual before opening cap.) Last will be transmission fluid. (Vehicle must be running to read proper level.) (Make sure youre emergency park brake is applied.)

Options for Buying World Series Tickets

Its that time of the year again – baseball fever is spreading like wildfire, and tickets are selling faster than hotdogs. So, your team is playing, and you have to be there. What are your options for buying World Series tickets before there are none left to buy?

First the traditional method. Pick up the phone and try to purchase tickets from the team during the scheduled sale period. The bad news, of course, is that these tickets usually sell out within 30 minutes flat. Solution? If the ticket agency or team provides multiple phone numbers to call, get all your friends and family organized to call as many times as possible across the multiple numbers.

Another way of getting your hands on those precious tickets is to identify those among your network of contacts (friends, family members or coworkers) who are season ticket holders for one of the teams. Season ticket holders usually get an option to buy tickets at the face value price. See, it pays to keep in touch!

Alternately, you can surf the Internet. Log on to the tickets section of the team’s website but lets be honest, hoping that the team is

Are Your Childcare Teachers Burning Out?

Although children are supposed to be our greatest commodity; little care and concern is actually focused on the childcare providers who care for and nurture our children on a daily basis. Recently, there has been a new focus on the extensive burnout syndrome plaguing childcare workers. Efforts are now being made to implement policies and add helpful changes, to provide some relief to these self-less care givers.

Epidemic Burn Out

Anyone who has ever worked around children in an early childhood educational classroom or daycare setting can attest to the rapid rate of burn out among the adult care givers. It is expected that children continually place unrealistic demands on their care givers on a daily basis. Additionally, parents and administration also continue to make demands on these same individuals without providing a support system. It is no wonder that the childcare industry experiences such continual and rapid rates of turnover among staff.

Poor Rewards

An individual can quickly become dissatisfied with their job if they feel slighted or underpaid. Sadly, childcare workers continue to earn some of the lowest wages. This is despite the fact that well over 50% of them hold

Jam Band Writing Journals Track Your Shows

Following jam bands is a blast because of the music, places you see and cool people you meet. Jam band journals are great ways to keep track of your shows.

Jam Band Journals

Undoubtedly, the Grateful Dead was the greatest jam band in history, but others such as String Cheese Incident have carried on the tradition. Whatever your favorite band is, think back to the last show you saw. What sticks out in your mind?? Now think about the first time you ever saw the band. Do you remember the set, people you met and so on? Probably not. The experiences youve forgotten are lost to time. If you had kept a jam band journal, this wouldnt be the case.

There are famous instances of people keeping journals throughout time. Of course, Anne Franks Diary is the best example. In her diary, Anne kept a running commentary of the two years her family spent hiding from the Nazis. While your show experiences better be more lighthearted, keeping a journal will let you remember them as the years pass.

A good jam band journal combines a number of characteristics. First, it should be compact so you dont

Anne Bridgeton was accustomed to taking her 99 Camry on weekday excursions from her home in the Kentucky foothills to her job some thirty miles away. By traveling along narrow, twisting back roads and avoiding the interstate, Annes trip took an additional fifteen minutes each way but it was a small price to pay as one of the benefits included viewing a bucolic landscape replete with farms and forested areas, and pocketed by small stores. Somehow the sterile scenery of the interstate was more unnerving than calming, even unsettling at times. Besides, no tandem trailers took the Kentucky backgrounds unlike

Computer Viruses – the basics

In its simplest terms a virus is a disruptive computer code period!
A computer virus almost always repeats itself and spreads by attaching itself to other files. Viruses can be made to host a number of harmful things on any computer from disrupting files to crashing networks. It can even be laying dormant, without you knowing it’s there and then attack when least expect it, like right in the middle of downloading a large file or typing a long report.

It can even be made to open at a certain date, sitting like a timebomb until it’s time arrives. As you can see it can be annoying at the very least.
I do not want go into all the different types of viruses here because there are so many and more are being made everyday in some dank basement by the Dark Lord.
However, since so many viruses came from unknowingly opening e-mails I would like to mention some basics here:

Never open e-mail attachments unless you know for sure who it’s from and that it’s safe.
Some mail programs will even ask if you trust the attachment and if youre sure this you want to do. Your computer
